Dual Degree Programs

Looking to get more from your MBA?

At The Citadel students have the ability to pursue a dual degree while obtaining their MBA.  The benefits include being able to gain encompassing knowledge across two distinctive degree subjects and also allowing a student to incorporate some credits between both degree areas.  Presently, three graduate dual degree programs are offered:

Programs Options

MBA/Doctor of Medicine

The Citadel has partnered with the faculty of medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to offer a dual degree program through which students may concurrently complete the Doctor of Medicine (MD) conferred by the MUSC and the Master of Business Administration conferred by The Citadel.  Individuals must apply and be accepted into both programs in order to pursue this option.  MD students may begin MBA coursework during Summer School sessions preceding the first year of medical education and continue during Summer School sessions between the first and second years of medical education and during the academic year following the third year of medical education.

MBA/Doctor of Pharmacy

Currently, students may earn their MBA and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degrees simultaneously through The Citadel's partnership with the South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Through this dual degree program, students develop a strong business foundation enabling them to utilize their pharmacy skills to their fullest potential. You can find more information about the dual program on SC College of Pharmacy website.

MBA/Technical Project Management Certificate

In addition, an MBA and Technical Project Management (TPM) Certificate may be earned simultaneously between the Schools of Business and Engineering. To build this into your course of study, a student’s elective courses are revised to cover the program of choice’s requirements.  The Technical Project Management Certificate adheres to the industry standard, PMBOK. MBA students can elect to take two of the TPM courses as electives. Students must receive admission to both the MBA and TPM program prior to registration.
